About Eliza Wallace

Eliza Wallace has worked with the Data Services department at MAPC since September 2013.

Current Activities

Eliza creates maps, performs spatial analysis, and conducts scenario modeling for planners throughout the agency and for projects with external partners. Her work includes creating the MS4 Outfall Catchment Calculator and conducting spatial and other quantitative analysis for climate change projects.

Past Experience

Prior to joining MAPC, Dr. Wallace worked as a GIS specialist on various archaeological projects. She has also taught undergraduate courses in GIS and in writing for Penn State and Boston University.


Eliza earned her doctorate at Boston University in Archaeology, where she specialized in ancient urbanism in the Early Bronze Age (c.3000 – 2000 BCE) of Northern Mesopotamia (modern Syria). Her technical specialization was GIS and Data Management.
